Holiday Tour in France and Switzerland

Camping Breithorn from Stechelberg to some distance past Lauterbrunnen

Camping Breithorn was the location where we stayed the longest during our tour of France and Switzerland. The location, in the Jungfrau, was stunning and the views magnificent. There were always new places to go to and things to do. We met one English family who have stayed on this site six times, and another who keep their caravan there permanently. The site itself is fairly basic and the pitches less than ideal in size as there is some crowding, however, it is very reasonably priced and the location makes up for a lot. Walks and cycle rides directly from the site are amazing and cable cars are within walking distance too.We had a wonderful stay there - we'd originally booked for two nights and stayed for a whole week, so that tells you how much we enjoyed being there. In actual fact, we'd have stayed much longer had we not had to make our way back home as we were running out of time. This is one site we most definitely want to visit again - and stay there for longer. In fact, we've even thought about keeping our caravan there year-round as it's such a beautiful site with a lovely, welcoming family who run it. Highly recommended - stay there if you are in the area as we know you'll be delighted with your visit.

The videos below:

Our drive starts at the end of the road at Stechelberg and heads away from the mountains, past Camping Breithorn, then we turn round and head back to this site for a proper look. The following day we took our caravan there and stayed for a most pleasurable week.

This drive takes us from Camping Breithorn towards Lauterbrunnen. We stop just short of Lauterbrunnen after turning right as we were going to head for Wengen but found the road to be closed.

This next video takes us on a drive through Lauterbrunnen and heads out of town in the direction of Interlaken.
