This video recording was taken from an old VHS tape - which wasn't in very good condition.

The technical quality of this video is sadly lacking, however, the content is what is important.

This old recording show just how far technology in video recording has advanced in recent years.

Alan worked at Consolidated Maritime Resources Foundation Incorporated

(now Consolidated Training Systems Incorporated - http://ctsi.com.ph/) in Manila and Cavite for 8 months in 1997.

This was where he qualified as an International Maritime Organisation Instructor.

The firefighting exercises and the chemical decontamination exercises are a compulsory add-on to the

General Tanker Familiarisation Course subjects he used to teach.

The main instructor shown in this video is Caloy Navarro, one of Alan's best friends.
